Connecting a smart chime is easy, go to your Hue Security center, tap the three dots on top of the screen and add a device. The installation flow will guide you through the process.

Can I connect multiple Hue Smart chimes to one doorbell?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's possible to connect multiple chimes to a Hue wired doorbell when a Bridge is part of your setup. Without Bridge you are able to connect one wired doorbell to one smart chime.

Can I plug-in the Smart Chime in every power outlet?

Accepted Answer

The Smart chime is designed to plug-in easily into a power outlet however to ensure it's powered safely we don't recommend adding it to an extension cable. Genlty push the Smart chime and straight into the power outlet, applying too much force or angled might lead to damage.

How do I reset my Hue Smart chime?

Accepted Answer

Press the button on the Smart chime (on the bottom of the Smart chime) over 10 seconds, the LED around the speaker cover will start blinking orange as confirmation.

Can I control the volume of the smart chime without the Hue app?

No, the volume control is managed using the Hue app.

Do I need to always have sound or light chiming when the Wired Doorbell gets pressed?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. Via the edit screen of your Wired Doorbell in the app you can configure the behavior of your Smart Chimes and lights throughout the day, including muting/disabling them. You can also choose to have sound and no lights or viceversa
