How Energy optimization works

LED street lighting coupled with smart controls reduces energy consumption up to 80%. Connected LED lighting enables smart lighting control and enables data to be collected for each light point, which is then transmitted over a network and analyzed to provide new insight. The Interact City dashboard visualizes energy use data, providing information on how much energy is consumed per light point, per zone, and on an hourly, daily, monthly, quarterly or yearly basis.

By adding presence detection sensors to the connected street lights, you can further reduce energy usage by using the software to dim light levels automatically if people or vehicles are not detected.

Flexibility and choice

We give cities flexibility by offering both individual light point and group control in one platform, as well as a range of connectivity options, such as licensed cellular networks and unlicensed radio frequency communications architectures.

Secured in the cloud or on premise

Data gathered from the street lighting can be stored on premise or in the cloud depending on the customer’s preference or data governance policy. The city owns the data and can share it with third parties or independent software vendors.

Open APIs

Open, secure APIs enable Energy Optimization software to be integrated with other city dashboards and IT systems. This allows lighting control and data synchronization to be aligned with the overarching city management system.
